“RECOMS” is a sexy, adult-oriented science fiction/adventure series. Using bold, heroic visuals the series paints an original landscape and combines trend-setting styles of great Japanese action films using different animation styles.
Set in the 3rd millennium after years of war orchestrated by a consortium of wealthy leaders known as the New Liberation Corporation, a seismic shift begins. With the N.L.C. money and power and the genius of Dr. Robert Maxwell, a scientist specializing in genetic engineering, sets about to create his vision of Utopia.
Dr. Maxwell perfects a genetic process that allows a person to rid themselves of all limitations, both physical and mental. With the promise to “live forever” the N.L.C.’s power quickly becomes unparalleled. Recombinant life forms; Recoms, are created.
All forms of information are seized, controlled. Recorded history ceases to exist. Power is consolidated. People live in a void, caught in a netherworld of half-machine, half-human existence. Maxwell makes his move, eliminates the entire N.L.C. board establishing himself as an autocratic leader.
Though his rule is far-reaching, Dr. Maxwell cannot control the indomitable human spirit that exists as the “One Hundred Percentors,” humans who have not succumbed to the lure of recombinant engineering.
